FAMILIES & TEENS

Best for older children, teenagers and active families.

The resort’s family offer is strongest for school-age children and teenagers who can enjoy included group lessons and the broad Three Valleys terrain. Its lively mood and compact ski-in ski-out setting help families spend less time organising and more time on the mountain.

Families with very young children should compare the available childcare dates and room setup carefully before booking. The resort’s energetic atmosphere is part of its appeal.

GETTING THERE

Compare airport and rail routes before choosing flights.

Val Thorens is reached through the Tarentaise valley. Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble and Chambéry can all work, while rail connections through Moûtiers may reduce road time for some itineraries.

TRAVELUTION’S PRACTICAL VIEW

Who should choose Val Thorens Sensations?

Best fit

Best fit: couples, friends, adults and families with older children who want dependable altitude, extensive skiing and lively après-ski.

Consider carefully

Consider carefully: the atmosphere is energetic rather than intimate, and the altitude may not suit every traveller. Families with younger children should confirm the current childcare programme.

Compare with
