THE RESORT IN ONE VIEW

A modern mountain landmark above the Giffre Valley.

Set at 1,600 metres on the Saix plateau, Club Med Grand Massif Samoëns Morillon pairs a contemporary architect-designed resort with 360-degree mountain views and direct access to five linked ski areas.

Travelution view: choose Grand Massif for a polished family base, broad mixed-ability terrain and one of the simplest Geneva transfers in the French Alps. It balances modern facilities with the traditional character of nearby Samoëns.

SKIING & SNOW

Ski-in ski-out access across five connected resorts.

The Grand Massif domain offers 265 km of pistes with 20 green, 64 blue, 50 red and 14 black runs. Terrain stretches from tree-lined beginner and intermediate slopes towards the higher, more technical skiing around Flaine.

FAMILIES & CHILDREN

A confident family resort with activities for every age.

Childcare and dedicated programmes cover babies through teenagers, while included group ski lessons from age four help families coordinate different confidence levels. The pool and family activities provide useful alternatives to the slopes.

The practical advantage is range: beginners gain reassuring woodland pistes, stronger skiers can explore towards Flaine, and everyone returns to the same ski-in ski-out base.

TRAVELUTION’S PRACTICAL VIEW

Who should choose Grand Massif Samoëns Morillon?

Best fit

Best fit: families and mixed-ability groups who want a contemporary ski-in ski-out resort, broad terrain and convenient access from Geneva.

Consider carefully

Consider carefully: the large, modern resort feels less intimate than Peisey-Vallandry. Travellers prioritising very high-altitude skiing may prefer Tignes or Val Thorens Sensations.

Compare with

Compare with: Les Arcs Panorama for Paradiski scale and an Exclusive Collection Space, Peisey-Vallandry for traditional lodge character, or Alpe d’Huez for sunny varied terrain.
