THE RESORT IN ONE VIEW
Sunlit woodland skiing with a distinctive Southern Alps soul.
At the gateway to the Écrins and Queyras natural parks, Club Med Serre Chevalier combines redesigned family spaces, wood-and-stone chalet character and ski-in ski-out access to a broad valley domain.
Travelution view: choose Serre Chevalier for sunny woodland skiing, authentic regional atmosphere and terrain that works for beginners through confident skiers. It feels more relaxed and locally rooted than the largest purpose-built domains.

SKIING & SNOW
Larch forests, high-altitude terrain and 250 km of skiing.
The Serre Chevalier Vallée domain offers 250 km of pistes with 13 green, 26 blue, 30 red and 13 black runs. Around 80% of the terrain lies above 2,000 metres, balancing sheltered woodland skiing with broad upper-mountain descents.

FAMILIES & CHILDREN
A redesigned family base with room to reconnect.
Childcare and dedicated programmes cover babies through teenagers, while included group ski lessons from age four support different confidence levels. The pool, spa and nearby thermal baths offer restorative alternatives to the slopes.
The practical advantage is balance: varied skiing for the whole family, sheltered forest runs and meaningful off-slope options within the Briançon valley.

STAY, EAT & UNWIND
Chalet-inspired rooms, mountain wellness and Southern Alps flavours.

Peaceful rooms inspired by Queyras craft
Superior and Deluxe rooms use warm wood, calm tones and design details inspired by traditional Queyras sundials. Selected family layouts provide separate spaces for parents and children.

Mountain gastronomy with an authentic regional accent
Full-board dining and open-bar beverages are included. Regional dishes such as pierrades and wild-garlic fondue reinforce the resort’s connection to the Southern Alps.

GETTING THERE
Briançon is the closest rail gateway.
Club Med indicates approximately 25 minutes from Briançon station, 45 minutes from Oulx, two hours 40 minutes from Chambéry Airport, two hours 45 minutes from Lyon, three hours from Grenoble or Turin and three hours 30 minutes from Milan, subject to traffic and weather.
Travelution note: Briançon and Oulx can both be useful rail gateways. We compare timetables and winter road conditions before recommending an itinerary.

TRAVELUTION’S PRACTICAL VIEW
Who should choose Serre Chevalier?
Best fit
Best fit: families and mixed-ability skiers who want sunny terrain, woodland runs, authentic Alpine character and a more relaxed regional atmosphere.
Consider carefully
Consider carefully: transfer times from the major international airports are longer than for Grand Massif or La Rosière. Some return terrain may also feel demanding for less-confident beginners.
Compare with
Compare with: Alpe d’Huez for sunny high-altitude scale, Grand Massif for easier Geneva access, or Valmorel for gentler family terrain and village charm.
