FAMILIES & CHILDREN
An easy family rhythm on and beyond the slopes.
Childcare and dedicated programmes cover babies through teenagers, while included group ski lessons from age four support different confidence levels. The swimming pool, family yoga and resort activities offer useful alternatives to skiing.
The practical advantage is choice: beginners can build confidence close to the resort while stronger skiers explore the upper mountain and longer descents.

STAY, EAT & UNWIND
Cosy Alpine rooms, generous dining and sunny après-ski.

Warm mountain-inspired rooms with Oisans views
Superior, Deluxe and Suite categories combine Alpine wood, rich fabrics and warm tones. The renovated resort offers a comfortable retreat with selected rooms opening towards the surrounding peaks.

Contemporary dining with a Dauphiné accent
Full-board dining and open-bar beverages are included. Le Pic Blanc pairs broad family-friendly choice with regional produce, while the terrace and convivial bar spaces make the most of Alpe d’Huez’s sunny setting.

GETTING THERE
Grenoble is the closest major rail gateway.
Club Med indicates approximately one hour 15 minutes from Grenoble railway station, one hour 30 minutes from Grenoble Airport, two hours 30 minutes from Lyon or Chambéry airports, and three hours 15 minutes from Geneva Airport, subject to traffic and weather.

TRAVELUTION’S PRACTICAL VIEW
Who should choose Alpe d’Huez?
Best fit
Best fit: families and mixed-ability groups who want sunny slopes, high-altitude access and a broad choice of skiing from beginner zones to long advanced descents.
Consider carefully
Consider carefully: the resort’s scale and energetic atmosphere may feel busy during peak family weeks. Travellers seeking a quieter lodge character may prefer Peisey-Vallandry.
Compare with
Compare with: Grand Massif for convenient Geneva access and woodland skiing, Les Arcs Panorama for Paradiski scale, or Tignes for a more energetic high-altitude experience.
